If you can – try and visit the recently revamped Tate Britain and or Tate Liverpool – both are absolutely sensational !

Do you like art?  Can you get to London or Liverpool or even both – if poss.?  You must try and visit the revamped Tate Britain  – it’s well worth it. They are currently showcasing some really excellent exhibitions. If you like bright and vibrant paintings depicting modern life over the last forty years – then the Patrick Caulfield exhibition will not disappoint. It’s brilliant. Something to really look forward to at the end of this month, 26th June, is the start of a major exhibition of landscapes by the much-loved British artist of the North – S L Lowry. Can’t wait.

All credit to the powers that be that manage Tate Britain for us vis-à-vis how things have worked out and shaped up with this recent revamp of the gallery. Tate Britain deserves to come back to the fore once again. This venue had forever become the once somewhat poor relation to its sister gallery, Tate Modern – not any more. Penelope Curtis, who heads up Tate Britain’s Curatorial Department, and, who is responsible for the programme of exhibitions and collection displays has done a magnificent job and played a major role in the recent transformation.Tate Britain

And what about Tate Liverpool? Fantastic news there.  They are currently showcasing one of my favourite artist’s of all time the genius that is and was Marc Chagall. The gallery are exhibiting sixty paintings and works on paper by the Russian master – a true visionary and one of the greatest pioneers of the avant-garde. The exhibition includes the fabulous painting – ‘ The Promenade’ – one of my favourite paintings. See you there.
