I Love To

I Love To

I love to explore the darkest caves of your mind

Where I know there’s a rich seam of secrets mined

Let me in, please I prey

I promise not to overstep or abuse my stay

I love to be the pump that beats your heart

I can caress it gently from the start

Let me in, please I prey

I promise not to overstep or abuse my stay

I love to be the breath that you consume

And flush your lungs with love, your cheeks into bloom

Let me in, please I prey

I promise not to overstep or abuse my stay

I love to be the colour that sparkles in your eye

I could gently wipe away tears when you cry

Let me in, please I prey

I promise not to overstep or abuse my stay

I love to be the blood that pouts your lips, such bliss

And steal a gentle perfect, lingering kiss

Let me in, please I prey

I promise not to overstep or abuse my stay

I love to be a spirit in your very soul

And squeeze two hearts into one, and make a whole

Let me in, please I prey

I promise not to overstep or abuse my stay

I love to be the weaver of your beautiful hair

And plait it into love patterns if you let me dare

Let me in, please I prey

I promise not to overstep or abuse my stay

I love to be the angel light that shines on you

If only I could be with you in heaven, too

Let me in, please I pray

I promise not to overstep or abuse my stay

So do forgive my tragic cowardly suicide

I’ll give my life for just one more second by your side

Let me in, please I prey

I promise not to overstep or abuse my stay
